Cosmopolitan artist Carlos Ramirez is a monumental artist, born in Chile. He doesn’t know any border and exchanges kwowledge as a free electron. He participated at international events like Fou-art-Montreal, Galery La Girafe-Berlin and directed a pluridisciplinary venue in Brussels with ‘Projection Caliban’.he arrived at a tender age in Belgium and studied in Brussels at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts and the Watermael-Boitsfort Academy (Paul Gobert). He then went on to do further painting studies with Maio Wassemberg.Spaeking several languages perfectly, he has been immersed in Latin American culture and the two major components of “Belgitude”.He is no stranger to exhibiting, having displayed his work on numerous occasions, individually and collectively, both in Belgium (XIII OXY gallery, Free University of Brussels, Jodoigne Town Hall, etc) and in Canada (Québec).He produced her latest work in deSingel-Antwerp, for Nuits Blanches-Brussels and at the Night of the Musea 2009. this year work with Julie Duquesne from TeamInTIme.be and coréografe Lisi Estares from Compagnie Ballet C de la B.
Depuis 2006, ma pratique artistique pluridisciplinaire s’articule autour d’un processus de création soutenu par deux axes : une approche ludique qui permet une interaction avec le public et la participation de plusieurs flux pour créer des interactions entre les différents médiums. Je développe des espaces de rencontre en utilisant un ensemble d’outils « méthodo-logiques » comme le rituel, les images, le paysage sonore, les dessins, les linogravures, l’interview et la vidéo.
